Season
One of the four parts of the year, spring, summer, fall and winter, each with its own typical weather.
Seasons happen because Earth's axis is tilted as it orbits the Sun. The tilt changes how directly sunlight strikes each part of Earth, and the hours of daylight.
Example: Summer is warm in the Northern Hemisphere when that half is tilted toward the Sun.
