Ratio
A comparison of two amounts, written with a colon, the word to, or as a fraction.
A ratio says how much of one thing there is for a given amount of another. Equal ratios can be made by multiplying or dividing both amounts by the same number.
Example: A recipe uses 2 cups of flour for every 1 cup of sugar. The ratio of flour to sugar is 2 to 1, or 2:1.
