Science Fair Planner (K–8)

Science fair season usually runs from January to March, and it often starts with one question at the kitchen table: “What should I do?” This free planner answers it. It gives a student a question to test, a plan, a place to write every number and a way to explain the result, in order, with room to write on every page.

Inside: teacher and parent notes with a six-week timeline, 28 project ideas for K–2, Grades 3–5 and Grades 6–8 that work at home with cheap, safe materials, a choose-a-question page, two fair-test planners (a simpler one for K–2), a materials and safety checklist with an adult sign-off, a data table and graph grid, a claim-evidence-reasoning page, a display board layout, a “talk to the judges” practice page, a judging rubric and a short letter to parents. Everything is metric and uses ordinary kitchen and dollar-store materials, so it works in any country. There are no flames, no plug-in appliances, no chemicals beyond kitchen ones and nothing that harms an animal. Print it in black and white on any printer.
