This pack covers the Number and Operations work of Grade 3 in 33 printable pages, lined up with the Common Core State Standards in the order a term usually runs. Each group of skills starts with a one-page poster and a worked example, followed by practice pages and word problems. Students read, regroup and compare numbers to 1,000, skip count by 50s, 100s and 200s, and round to the nearest ten and hundred. They share pancakes and pizzas fairly to make fractions, find equivalent fractions with fraction strips, and count unit fractions. The second half covers the operations: arrays and equal groups, facts of 2, 5 and 10, mental math and estimation, how the addition and subtraction algorithms work, and problems with groups of halves, fourths and thirds.
Some problems use real populations of small US towns from the Census Bureau’s Vintage 2023 estimates, with the source printed on the page. The computer generates the drill pages and works out every answer twice. The word problems, the check-in and the test have a hand-written key, and each answer in it is checked a second way.
The teacher notes give a ten-week order, timing, materials, differentiation, the common mistakes for each standard, and a table that matches every standard to its pages, with a note on which skills sit in Grade 2 or Grade 4. Everything prints in black and white, and nothing depends on color. The free sample is the teacher notes and the rounding practice page.
