36 printable pages on Grade 4 number and operations: whole numbers to 1,000,000, fractions, decimal tenths, facts, mental math, multi-digit operations and unit fractions. Part of it practises Grade 3 standards, decimals stop at tenths and fractions stop at unit fractions, so it is not the whole of Grade 4 number. Cover page of Grade 4 Common Core Math: Number and Operations

This pack covers most of the Common Core Grade 4 number standards (4.NBT, plus parts of 4.NF and 4.OA) and the Grade 3 fraction and facts standards they build on, in the order a term usually runs. It is not complete for Grade 4: decimals are tenths only (no hundredths, so 4.NF.C.5 is not covered), fractions are compared, named and counted but not added or subtracted beyond unit fractions, and there are no mixed-number operations, factors and multiples or number patterns. The teacher notes list exactly what is and is not covered. Each group of standards starts with a one-page poster with a worked example. Practice pages and word problems follow. Students read, regroup, compare and round numbers to 1,000,000, share pizzas fairly to compare fractions, count by fractions to 10, and work with decimal tenths. Then come the operations: properties and checking, facts to 10 × 10, mental math with tens, hundreds, thousands and tenths, multi-digit addition and subtraction, multiplying and dividing by one digit, adding unit fractions and simple rates.

Several problems use real US figures, and each one gives its source on the page: 2023 Census Bureau population estimates for cities from Alaska to Georgia, and 2026 temperatures and snowfall from NOAA weather stations in Des Moines and Minneapolis. The practice pages are generated and checked by computer, so every answer in the key has been worked out twice. Word problems, the check-in and the test have a hand-written key that shows the working and a check for each answer.

The teacher notes give a ten-week order, timing, materials, differentiation, the common mistakes for each standard, and a table that matches every standard to its pages. Everything prints in black and white, and nothing depends on color. The free sample is the teacher notes and the rounding practice page.
