This pack covers every specific expectation in the Number strand of the 2020 Ontario Grade 3 math curriculum, B1.1 to B2.9, in the order a term usually runs. Each group of expectations starts with a one-page poster and a worked example, followed by practice pages and word problems. Students read, regroup and compare numbers to 1,000, skip count by 50s, 100s and 200s, and round to the nearest ten and hundred. They share pancakes and pizzas fairly to make fractions, find equivalent fractions with fraction strips, and count unit fractions. The second half covers the operations: arrays and equal groups, facts of 2, 5 and 10, mental math and estimation, how the addition and subtraction algorithms work, problems with groups of halves, fourths and thirds, and scaling up with the ratios 1 to 2, 1 to 5 and 1 to 10.
Some problems use real populations of small Ontario towns from the 2021 and 2016 Censuses (Statistics Canada), with the source printed on the page. The computer generates the drill pages and works out every answer twice. The word problems, the check-in and the test have a hand-written key, and each answer in it is checked a second way.
The teacher notes give a ten-week order, timing, materials, differentiation, the common mistakes for each expectation, and a table that matches every expectation to its pages. Everything prints in black and white, and nothing depends on colour. The free sample is the teacher notes and the rounding practice page.
