Meet the Moose

The moose is a mammal. It lives in the northern forests of Canada, the northern United States and Alaska. This place is freezing cold.

The moose eats willow twigs, birch bark and water plants. It wades into lakes and dips its head underwater to eat water plants.

The moose has very long legs. These let it walk through deep snow and wade into lakes. It is about about 2 meters tall at the shoulder.
