Full of trees places are hard to live in, yet both the giant panda and the koala manage it. They solve the same problem in different ways.
The giant panda lives in cool, misty mountain forests in China. It is about 1.5 meters long. It has an extra thumb-like wrist bone, which helps it grip bamboo stalks. It is a herbivore and eats bamboo.
The koala, meanwhile, lives in eucalyptus forests in eastern Australia. It is about 75 centimeters long. It has sharp claws and rough pads on its paws, which help it grip smooth tree trunks. It is a herbivore and eats eucalyptus leaves.
Both animals show that there is more than one way to survive in a full of trees place.
