Class Graph Maker
Type in your class's results and get a clean bar or line graph to project or print. Built for the data step of every Fieldbook investigation.
What does the graph show?
How to use it
Type each result as a row: a label (a group, a ramp height, a day) and a number. Use a bar graph to compare separate things and a line graph when the labels are steps in order, like days or heights. The scale starts at zero so bars are fair to compare.
Ask the class: Which is biggest? What pattern do you see? What would you change if you ran the test again?
Free to use, no account needed. It runs in your browser: nothing you type, and no sound from your microphone, is sent to Fieldbook.
Hands-on lessons to pair with Class Graph Maker
Ready-to-teach units, each lesson a printable teacher guide and student sheet. Your first three lessons are free.
Data Detectives
How fast are our reflexes? Which graph is telling the truth? Do taller people really have bigger hands? Three lessons where students collect their own measurements and find out what numbers can and can't tell you.
Evidence Lab
How do you know something is true? Students test a claim with their own measurements, find out why one result is never enough, and learn to tell strong evidence from weak.
Forces and Motion: Crash, Push and Stop
Why you lurch forward when the bus brakes, how fast a toy car really goes, why heavier carts hit harder, and how to build a crumple zone that saves an egg. Four lessons on inertia, speed, mass and stopping safely.
