Manitoba Mathematics, Kindergarten to Grade 8. Every lesson comes with a printable teacher guide and student sheet.
Number
7.N.3 Solve problems involving percents from 1% to 100%.
Lessons: Mix It, Pace It: Ratio, Rate and Percent (Which is the better deal?)
7.N.6 Demonstrate an understanding of addition and subtraction of integers, concretely, pictorially and symbolically.
Lessons: Below Zero: Integers in the Real World (How much did the temperature change?, Are we in the red?)
Statistics and Probability
7.SP.1 Demonstrate an understanding of central tendency and range by determining mean, median, mode and range (a Grade 7 outcome taught early).
Lessons: Data Detectives (How fast are our reaction times?, Which graph tells the truth?, Do taller people have bigger hands?)
7.SP.4 Express probabilities as ratios, fractions and percents.
Lessons: Is It Fair? Chance and Probability (Is a six harder to roll?, Which bag would you pick from?)
7.SP.5 Identify the sample space (where the combined sample space has 36 or fewer elements) for a probability experiment involving two independent events.
Lessons: Is It Fair? Chance and Probability (Why does horse 7 always win?, Can you design a fair game?)
7.SP.6 Conduct a probability experiment to compare the theoretical probability (determined using a tree diagram, table or another graphic organizer) and experimental probability of two independent events.
Lessons: Is It Fair? Chance and Probability (Why does horse 7 always win?, Can you design a fair game?)
