Put events in time order. Look for dates and words like first, then, later and finally.
Example (The Snail Race, Grade 2)
What happened right after Zoom slid off fast?
Answer: He stopped to eat a leaf.. "Zoom slid off fast, but then he stopped to eat a leaf." Pebble passed him later.
